Alena Hoffmann absolvierte ihr Studium an der Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London mit dem Schwerpunkt Design Realisation. Darüber hinaus erwarb sie ein Foundation Diploma an der Central Saint Martins University of Arts London. Sie nahm als Teil des britischen studentischen Teams, das von der Society of British Theatre Designers ausgewählt wurde, an der Prague Quadrennial teil. Alena kreiert offene und ästhetische Atmosphären und nutzt häufig das, was in den Lagerräumen eines Theaters vergessen wurde. Neben zahlreichen Assistenzengagements an der Volksoper Wien pflegt sie eine langjährige Zusammenarbeit mit dem MuTh in Wien, für das sie die Bühnenbilder für „Die Opernprobe“, „Der gestiefelte Kater“, „Dido und Aeneas“, „Dornröschen“ sowie „Hänsel und Gretel“ gestaltete. Für das Kindertheater im Theater-Studio 8+ stattete sie für Roman Boklanov „Oscar und die Dame in Rosa“ aus. Am Stadttheater Gießen, unter der Regie von Johanna Arrouas, gestaltete sie das Bühnen- und Kostümbild für „Mitislaw der Moderne.

Alena Hoffmann graduated from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, specializing in design production. She also earned a Foundation Diploma from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. She participated in the Prague Quadrennial as part of the British student team selected by the Society of British Theatre Designers. Alena creates open and aesthetic atmospheres and frequently makes use of items forgotten in a theater’s storage rooms. In addition to numerous assistant roles at the Vienna Volksoper, she has maintained a long-standing collaboration with the MuTh in Vienna, for which she designed the sets for “Die Opernprobe,” “Puss in Boots,” “Dido and Aeneas,” “Sleeping Beauty,” and “Hansel and Gretel.” For the children’s theater at Theater-Studio 8+, she designed the sets for Roman Boklanov’s “Oscar and the Lady in Pink.” At the Stadttheater Gießen, under the direction of Johanna Arrouas, she designed the sets and costumes for “Mitislaw the Modern.”
